A man was killed by his elder brother over a land dispute at Sobala village under the Pattamundai police station. The deceased was Rajendra Samal (58). A dispute over parental property between Rajendra and his elder brother Surendra Samal had been going on for long. On Thursday, Rajendra was doing some farming work on a patch of the disputed land when it was opposed by his elder brother, resulting in an altercation. It took an ugly turn when Surendra with the help of his son Dipak and the latter’s wife Bharati strangulated Rajendra. Rajendra was first rushed to the DHH and later shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital, where But he died on Friday.
