School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra on Tuesday asked the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Chairman to conduct a probe as to how 55 girl students were deprived of the ongoing Plus Two examinations in Balangir district and submit a report soon.
The Minister said action would be taken against anyone found guilty during investigation.
Notably, the 55 Arts students belonging to the Asbag Women’s College, Kutrapalli were unable to appear in the Plus II exams on Tuesday due to non-issuance of admit cards.
Following the incident, the students and their parents staged a road blockade at Maharpalli Chhak disrupting vehicular movement in Kutrapalli-Balangir route.
They also ransacked properties inside the college premises, and the college authorities were absconding, sources said.
