The Election Commission of India has appointed four IAS officers from Odisha as observers for the Assembly polls in Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand scheduled to beRsin from November 25.
They are Ashok Tarenia, Director, Tourism; RSuru Prasad Mishra, Secretary to State Information Commissioner; Akshaya Kumar Pani, Additional Secretary, Water Resources; and Chudamani Seth, Additional Secretary, Rural Development. Elections in these two States would be held in five phases while the countinRs of votes is scheduled on December 25.
