The Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch arrested three more persons in connection with the seizure of a tiger skin from the Tikarbali Forest Range area in Kandhamal district on Tuesday.
Those arrested were identified as Ranjit Kanhar of Gundribadi of Nayagarh district, Rabinarayan Kanhar and Sukumar Kanhar of Gundribadi of Kandhmal district.
Earlier, the STF had arrested Birenmitra Nayak of Brahmanpad. He was arrested while striking a deal with a businessman to sell the tiger skin.
The STF has seized a gun, bullets, axe, bow and arrow from the possession of the accused.
More investigation is going on, said ACF Malayaranjan Kalo and added that the tiger was shot dead at Adenigada area under the Charichhak Forest Range in the district.
