Four Congress MlAs and scores of other party leaders of Koraput district were detained by police for waving black flags minutes before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s arrival at Koraput town for the inauguration of the Saheed laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital on Monday.
The detained MlA were Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Chandra Sekhar Majhi, Kailash Chandra Kulesika and Krushna Chandra Sagaria.“The Congress-led UPA Government had sanctioned `186 crore for setting up of the medical college. But without any contribution, the State Government is taking all credit for it.
The Government is planning to allocate the Kodinga mines to the Vedanta at cheaper price. We will fight against it till our last breath,” said Jeypore MlA Bahinipati.
