A total of 4, 12,331 voters would exercise franchise in the Mohana and Paralakhemundi Assembly seats in Gajapati district under the Brahmapur Parliamentary segment in the coming general elections, informed Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha at a Press meet held here on Tuesday.
There are a total of 573 booths in the district which includes 297 in Mohana constituency and 276 in Paralakhemundi segment.
Saha also said every booth would be equipped with drinking water, rest sheds, toilets, electricity and ramp facilities as per the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines. Besides, special arrangements would be made in every booth for physically impaired voters.
Central forces and State police personnel would be deployed for a free and fair election, he added.
Among others, Electoral Officer Achyuta Nanda Jani, Sub-Collector Rajnikant Swain and Additional Sub-Collector Saroj Kumar Behera were present.
