Bhubaneswar on Sunday registered 323 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the total tally in the State capital city increased to 89,185. This was a decrease from the 374 infections reported on Saturday.
Out of the new cases, 243 were local contacts and 80 were quarantine cases. The local contacts included 17 cases each in Chandrasekharpur and Patia, 15 each in IRC Village and Khandagiri, 11 in Dumduma and eight each in Old Town and Nayapalli.
Currently, the active cases stood at 1,415 in the city. Meanwhile, five more patients succumbed to the disease in the city on the day, mounting the total death toll to 435. However, 387 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 87,314.
