Over the years, the aspiration to get a seat in Navodaya Schools is growing among students, for which the number of candidates appearing at the entrance test is increasing each year. This year, more than 3,000 students sat for the Navodaya School entrance test in Keonjhar district including 365 from Jhumpura block alone.
Jhumpura BEO Purna Chandra Amanta inspected the examination centre at the Jhumpura Boys’ High School while respective BEOs in other blocks also looked into smooth conduct of the test. The quality of education given free to children by the CBSE through these Central Government-sponsored schools attracts parents to bring their children for such entrance tests, Amanta said.
