Death of children due to Japanese Encephalitis in Malkangiri continued unabated as three more kids succumbed to the vector-borne disease on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Devaki Pujari of Chitapari village under Korkonda block, Shalini Khara of Kandel village under Kudumulugumma block and Adma Muchaki of Motu village under Padia block in the district. All of them died while undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital, sources said. With this, the death toll in the disease reached 93 in the district. Meanwhile, the six-member expert team led by Jacob John started an in-depth study on the disease.
