At least two road construction workers and a two-year-old girl were injured when miscreants hurled two bombs at two separate places in the Chauliaganj area here on Thursday afternoon.

While the injured are recuperating in hospital, the police are yet to get any clue about the two miscreants, who escaped from the spots immediately by their bike.

The police said the first bomb was hurled at some workers who were engaged in road construction in the Matha Sahi area, injuring two.

The second bomb was hurled near Chauliganj Square when the miscreants were escaping after committing the first crime. In the second explosion, a two-year-old girl playing nearby was injured.

While no one was yet arrested in this connection, the police suspected the motive behind the incident could be tender-related rivalry.
