Two Lecturers and a student staying in a hostel of the Ravenshaw University in Cuttack were found Covid-19 positive on Thursday. Earlier, two students of the university had also been infected.
With this, the university has reported five positive cases recently. More than 300 swab samples were collected from the university and sent for testing on Thursday. On Wednesday, 92 samples had been collected, said Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner Ananya Das.
Following detection of the cases, the university authorities postponed the UG and PG examinations, which were scheduled to begin on the day.
Meanwhile, two employees of a private pharmacy college tested positive for the virus in Sambalpur district on the day. Following this, the Gayatri College of Pharmacy was shut till March 29 to contain spread of infection.
