As many as three contract workers were injured on Tuesday in two separate mishaps in the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). They were sent to the IGH and their health conditions are reportedly stable there.
According to sources, when some contract workers were working in BIast furnace –I in RSP on Tuesday, fire broke out at the gas cleaning plant at around 10.10 am and two contract workers were injured. They were immediately rushed to the IGH.
They were identified as Satya Soren (38) and Patan Barik(42), who work under contractor Ambika Enterprises. According to sources, both injured received around 5 per cent burn injury and their heath condition is reportedly stable now.
