Three bodies were recovered in hanging condition from a mohua tree near a paddy field at the backside of a mosque in Muniguda in Ambadola-Bhawanipatna road on Thursday. It is suspected to be a case of suicide or honour killing.
An FIR was filed before one month that one Radhika Manguli, daughter of Ratilal Manguli of Kalahandi Pada in Ambadola, was absconding with one Jaga Patra, son of laba Patra. It was presumed to be the outcome of the case. But one of bodies was of Alok Kumar, husband of Radhika of Ambadola, which has raised eyebrows in the area and there is a talk of honour killing. A few half consumed beer bottles, boiled eggs, water bottles and khaini packets were recovered from the spot. Heads of all the three bodies were covered with clothes.
Police have seized the bodies and conducted an investigation. No one has been arrested in the connection.
