Maoists again made their presence felt in the extremist-infested Malkangiri district by killing a man on Tuesday dubbing him as a police informer.
Sources said that the armed Maoists called the man from his house at Temurapalli village under the Mathali police station and then slit his throat with a sharp weapon in broad daylight.
The Red rebels claimed that he was a police informer and warned that if anybody cooperates with the security personnel, he would also meet the same fate.
However, the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
