Plus II admission process begins

PNS

The process for admissions into Plus II courses at junior colleges across the State began on Monday. Students can apply for the Plus II colleges either online or offline mode till June 7.

One applicant can apply for a maximum of 10 junior colleges in the Common Application Form (CAF). For online registration, students can fill up the application form available on www.dheodisha.gov.in. Besides, SAMS Resource Centres opened across the State will help students fill up the admission form and get their queries answered.

As per the School and Mass Education Department, the first cut-off list will be declared on June 13. Admission process in the first phase will be over between June 16 and 19.

While registration for Plus II admissions began today across the State, some colleges allegedly denied accepting the forms of applicants who did not submit the income certificates.

However, head of e-admission department for the junior colleges Mihir Das clarified submission of income certificate is not mandatory for students to be part of the admission process.

Applicants, who do not wish to submit income certificate can select the ‘Others’ option in the CAF, said Das. However, submission of income certificate will help a student to avail the e-scholarship scheme, he added.
