Senapati gets Nagar Bandhu Samman
Bhubaneswar: Environmentalist Dr Manas Ranjan Senapati was conferred with the Nagar Bandhu Samman-2016 on the occasion of the local Self-Government Day celebration of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday. He is also a columnist and writes on environmental issues. He has also written on renewable energy in the State. At present, Dr Senapati is Professor and Head of the Chemistry Department in the Trident Academy of Technology here.
Nagar Bandhu Samman for Jayakrishna Panigrahi
Bhubaneswar: At the local Self-Government Day celebration by the BMC here, environmentalist and educationist Dr Jayakrishna Panigrahi was awarded the Nagar Bandhu Samman-2016. He got the award for his outstanding contribution in the field of environment. He has been persistently endeavouring to solve the environment-related problems by creating awareness among people about the environmental degradation. He has also received Biju Patnaik Award, Parichaya Samman, Aneshta Samman and Trust Samman.
