W Odisha Bajrang Dal to hold meet from Jan 23
Jharsuguda: The Bajrang Dal of western Odisha would organise a State-level meeting of its delegates from 16 districts here on January 23 and 24, informedBajrang Dal zonal coordinator Manoj Berma. “We would focus the decreasing trend of Hindu population as per the 2011 Census and other issues at the meeting,” he said. Training would also be held for the district and assistant coordinators in the presence of national coordinator Rakesh Pandey and district Bajrang Dal president Vijay Jalan.
Four-day spiritual meet underway in B’pur
Brahmapur: The Divine life Society, Brahmapur branch is organising a four-day spiritual conclave at the Khalikote College playground here from Thursday coinciding wit its diamond jubilee celebration. Many saints and seers, including Rishikesh Ashram treasurer and trustee Swami Adwetananda Saraswati Maharaj, Swami Deba bhaktirananda Saraswati Maharaj, Swami Anand Swaroopanand Saraswati and Swami Hari Saranananda Maharaj attended the inaugural event. Talks on ‘ICT for agri growth’ at P’khemundi
Paralakhemundi: A two-day symposium on ‘ICT application for sustainable agriculture growth’ was launched by the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture (MSSSoA) of the Centurion University here on Friday. University VC D Nageswara Rao inaugurated the seminar. Visiting Professor Pradeep Kumar Sahu, IDEA, Vizag Chairman Prof Gowtham Shanker, Care India former Director Basant Mohanty, senior WIPRO HR KVD Prakash and Assistant Conservator of Forest, Nuapada Bikram Nayak graced the inaugural function. The programme is aimed to bring the latest agricultural technologies to the fore through demonstrations, discussions and field visits.
