lokanath to get Narayan Seva Award
Bhubaneswar: Noted social worker and founder of Sarankul-based Ashraya institution lokanath Dash, widely known as lokanathbhai, will get the Narayan Seva Award-2015 for his lifetime contribution for the betterment of disabled and distressed people. The Bolagada Samaj Kalyan Sanghathan will honour him on April 7 here at the lohia Academy here.
Subarnapur RI held for taking bribe
Cuttack: Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested Kulamani Satpathy, Revenue Inspector of Badbhainro Circle under Tarva tehasil in Subarnapur district for taking bribe of Rs 4,000. The RI had demanded the bribe from one Pradyumna Bagh of Thakopali village for not to initiate any criminal case against him for manufacturing clay bricks.
Bargarh Amin arrested on graft charge
Cuttack: The Bargarh Vigilance unit on Friday arrested one Kalpa Naik working as an Amin at the Office of the land Acquisition Officer for taking bribe. Basing on the complaint of Sanada Sahu of Nagaon village under Sohela police station in Bargarh district, the Vigilance sleuths caught the Amin while he was accepting Rs 30,000 from the former for early sanction of enhanced compensation.
