Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over coastal areas of the State and the adjoining areas of the Northwest Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershower would occur at a few places over Odisha while heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over South Odisha during the next 24 hours, local Met official sources said on Tuesday.
A low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of the State and West-Central Bay of Bengal at 8.30 am, said the Met office. The whole of India is witnessing excess rainfall with floods occuring in many states.
