29 women inmates flee Sports Hostel

Bhubaneswar: 29 women hockey players of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel missing from the hostel on Saturday morning all the players are the resident of Sundargarh District. Sources alleged that, due to inhuman behaviour of the hostel in-charge and low quality food forced us to leave the sports hostel. As we belong to minority community and tribal’s several times we have been requested the hostel in charge to leave us on Sunday morning to go for prayer but he has denied. In between the players reached Rourkela and meet the ADM and informed the State Sports and Youth Services Department took a decision to shift the hockey excellence hostel from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar they never asked us. As they have shifted us the Department must do alternative arrangement for our education. Now we are studying in Rourkela and staying at Bhubaneswar. The million dollar question is how they could able to disappear from the hostel in presence of all the coaches and the security in the morning. When a single biker cannot enter the stadium as the security is so strong. How 29 players mange to cross the stadium gates.
