BJD youth leader demands IIM in D’nal
Dhenkanal: BJD youth leader and advocate Girija Mohanty, through a letter, has urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take all possible and appropriate steps in order to set up the proposed Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Dhenkanal. Mohanty has cited that Dhenkanal, which is situated in the middle of the State, is an industrial hub and enriched with tourism potentiality. Besides communication facility through railways and roadways, the hilly land is only 50 km by air from the Bhubaneswar airport.
AC coach in BBSR-B’posi Exp from Sept 1
Bhubaneswar: To facilitate comfortable journey for the passengers, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to augment one AC coach in the Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Express for a period of one month. The train would have the additional AC chair car coach from September 1 to 30 from Bhubaneswar and September 2 to October 1 from Bangiriposi.
Allahabad Bank launches Jan Dhan Yojana
Bhubaneswar: As part of the nationwide launching of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, the Allahabad Bank launched the facility at all its branch across the country, including Odisha at its Jagatpur and Choudwar branches. While the bank’s Bhubaneswar zonal head Dinesh Kumar launched the programme at the Jagatpur branch, the AGM inaugurated the scheme at the Choudwar branch.
