Suna vesha held at Narasinghpur
Narasinghpur: like previous years, the Suna Vesha of lord Jagannath, lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra was observed here on the Navami day of Ekadasi on Saturday. However, the Suna Vesha is held on the Dwadasi day at Puri and everywhere else. The festival was overseen by local Tehsildar Debabrata Sahoo, temple trustee Biranchi Narayana Sahoo, secretary Agadhu Nayak, Zilla Parishad member Kishore Chandra Mishra, Nirmala Kumar Jena and Durga Prasad Mishra.
Child development camp organised
Narasinghpur: A one-day child development camp was organised at the Saraswati Sishu Mandir here on Saturday with law Commissioner Debaraj Rout attending the event as the chief guest. While Bijaya Kumar Panda presided over the programme, school headmaster Pratap Chandra Mohapatra and other teachers Priyambada Devi, Jharana Biswal, Swarnalata Moharana, Amrita Mohapatra and Erasish Das coordinated it.
Vana Mahotshav held at MGEM School
Athagarh: The Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School here observed the Vana Mahotsav on Saturday in the presence of Cuttack District Environment Society Secretary Asutosh Debata, Athagarh DFO Arun Kumar Mishra and NGC, Cuttack master trainer Arjun Kumar Biswal. A meeting was also held on the occasion, where the school students pledged to plant and maintain at least one tree with the slogan ‘Each One, Plant One’. The student and staffs with the guests planted some trees in the school campus. School Management president Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra, vice-president RK Patnaik, secretary Sridhar Ratha and principal Pulin Mishra coordinated the programme.
