Miscreants loot R’kela woman of Rs2.5l
Rourkela: Two motorbike-bone miscreants, covering their faces, snatched away Rs2.5 lakh from one Saraswati Bhumiji(40) while she along with another woman got down from an auto at her village Ruptola near Balughat under Raghunathpalli police limits here on Monday morning. Octogenarian grandma denies giving money, killed
Jagatsinghpur: In a bizarre incident, a young man killed his octogenarian grandmother in Prasannapur village of Rahana Grama Panchayat under Jagatsinghpur districts’ Balikuda area as she did not give him some money on Sunday night.
Reports said one Balaram Swain in an inebriated condition asked his grandmother Puni Swain to give him some money. As Puni denied, Balaram snatched away her earrings and pushed her to the ground. Puni sustained grievous head injuries and died. The local police seized the dead body and sent for postmortem. They have also started a manhunt to nab Balaram.
