Dillip, Anupama leave for National karate camp
Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s two promising karatekas of Utkal Karate School Dillip Kumar Jena and Anupama Swain left from here on Thursday to participate in the National Karate Selection and Trail Camp to be held at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh from April 20 to May 10, informed Odisha State Karate-Do Association secretary Hari Prasad Pattanayak. The national team would be selected for the Asian Games from the camp. In the 2012 national karate meet Dillip bagged bronze medal in the 55kg men’s kummite. Similarly, Anupama received bronze medal in the national meet in 50 kg women kummite event.
