The Tusura police on Wednesday arrested two accused, Satyasil Rana (20) and Sabar Mahanda of Boudh, in connection with a dacoity case occurred on December 5. The police also seized two country-made pistols, a mobile phone and a Bhujali from them. Balangir SDPO Narayan Nayak said this at Press conference at the Town police station here on Thursday afternoon.
Nayak said when Niranjan Kedia of Tusura along with two others was returning from Baliguda via Mohangiri-Dhanpur Road in his vehicle on December 5, some miscreants, taking advantage of the loneliness in the forest, blocked the road keeping stonesa and looted Kedia of `15, 000 and snatched away four mobiles from them at gun points.
“We have found evidence of involvement of five more people in this case. One of the accused is undergoing treatment at the DHH for injury now,” informed Nayak.
The two accused have been forwarded to court, he said.
