The Marshaghai police on Tuesday arrested and court-forwarded two persons on the charge of kidnapping and raping a 27-year-old married woman belonging to Badagaon village in Kendrapada district.
The arrested were identified as prime accused Sarju Mallick and his associate Tukuna Mallick of the victim’s village, said Kendrapada SP Rabi Narayan Behera.Another accused in the case is still absconding. Reports said the three accused had on June 29 kidnapped the woman form her house and kept in confined room at Cuttack.They allegedly gangraped her several times there. They left the woman near her village on Sunday night.
