Two Rourkela GRP Constables were dismissed from their jobs on Sunday on the charge of transporting ganja in the DSP’s official vehicle.
Based on a preliminary investigation by police, Railways SP Trinath Kumar Patel dismissed Constable and Driver of the vehicle Purna Chandra Patra and APR Constable Ashrit Pradhan from their duties.Currently, the two accused are lodged in Sambalpur Circle Jail following their arrest.
On August 29, Driver Purna Chandra took Railways Jharsuguda DSP, Ramakanata Sahu from his office to official residence for lunch. Without telling anything to DSP, Purna Chandra left for Sambalpur in the official vehicle to bring contraband item.
