Two cousins drowned in a pond on Saturday in Koraput district. The tragedy occurred at Petaldi village of Baipariguda block.
Sources said three-and-a-half-year-old boy Debraj Nayak and his two-and-a-half-year-old cousin Kunu Nayak were playing in their backyard and then gone to the nearby pond.
The family members found them floating at around 11.30 am. They rushed them to the nearest hospital, but the toddlers were declared brought dead by doctors.
