While the entire world is battling with the Covid-19 pandemic, two young kids, Soumyajeet Patnaik (13) and Sonia Sahu (17) of Brahmapur have published their first books in just one week as part of a five-day ‘Author Challenge’ sponsored by Anshuman Patra.

The books titled “Covid-19 –A Blessing in Disguise” authored by Soumyajeet and “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Life in Pandemic” by Sonia are available on Amazon and have ranked as bestsellers in the multiple categories. Notably, the youngest author as per the Asia Book of Record to write a book on Covid-19 is Yash Tiwari (18). Now, Soumyajeet Patnaik and Sonia have applied to Asia Book of Record for inclusion of their names as they wish to set a new record among the young authors in the world.

If both kids can set a record in the Asia Book of Records, it would be a matter of pride not just for the people of Brahmapur but for entire Odia people.Soumyajeet’s father Susil Pattnaik is working as an Additional BDO while his mother Dr Sangeeta Das is an Assistant Professor in  Department of Preventive and Community Medicine in the MKCG Medical College, Brahmapur.

Sonia’s father is Manoj Kumar Sahu and mother Jangyaseni Sahu, both of Brahmapur.
