Two three-year-old children died and seven others were taken ill soon after they had their meals at an Anganwadi Kendra at Jamada Sahi under the Jashipur police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Friday.
Nine kids began vomiting after being fed rice and egg curry at about 1 pm. The children belonging to the Scheduled Caste were rushed to the Jashipur hospital, where two of them were declared brought dead. Hospital sources, however, said the condition of the other seven children was stable.
