Plus II examination answer-sheet evaluation returned to normal with 662 and 488 Category Block Grant college lecturers joining in the process on Sunday.

The lecturers of the Block Grant colleges along with others reported to their assigned evaluation centres across the State bringing sense of relief for students, parents and the Government as well.

Meanwhile, with the agitating lecturers back at the evaluation centres, Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Chairman Basudev Chhatoi said there is now no need of alternative arrangements by hiring services from lecturers of private colleges, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and technical institutions.

Chhatoi also said that he expects the evaluation to be completed in time and the results to be declared as expected.

“The Block Grant lecturers have started reporting to evaluation centres. We are trying our best to make up for the lost time. The first phase valuation will be extended by two-three days and the three-day gap between the first and second phases of answer paper evaluation would be cancelled. We are hopeful that the evaluation would be completed in time and the results would also be published in time,” he added.

Notably, after a six-day-long deadlock between the agitating Block Grant lecturers and the Government over the teachers’ demands of full grant-in-aid (GIA) and abolition of BG system, the lecturers on Saturday announced suspension of their agitation and assured the Government that they would cooperate in the ongoing Plus II examination answer paper evaluation from Sunday.
