With Madhusudan Law College here all set to operate as an university from April 28, Governor and Chancellor of Universities Prof Ganeshi Lal appointed its first Vice-Chancellor on Friday.
Prof Kamal Jeet Singh was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor for a period of four years with effect from the date he assumes office or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Currently, Prof Singh is a Member of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission. He has 27 years of experience in teaching and authored two books. He has guided 17 PhD scholars and 100 LLM students.As per an official notification issued on April 7, all existing law colleges, both Government and private, except constituent law colleges of different universities of Odisha will come under Madhusudan Law University.
