Kaunri Kanya”, the first 3-D Odia film made by Angel Bee Media, was released and screened in a cinema hall here on Friday to promote the film to a wider audience amidst much enthusiasm.
Two brothers, Soumya Ranjan Sahu and Ramya Ranjan Sahu, have directed and sponsored the film. The theme of the film is based on Tantrik mindsets and its impacts on the society.
Thousands of enthusiastic youths and film lovers were found in the queue to watch the movie using scientific glasses provided by the producer. Even in this computer age, how the medical science proved to be futile and the techniques of superstitions like Tantrik Sadhana still holds good in the minds of the contemporary people has been well reflected in the film.
Answering to a question regarding the acceptance of the film by the 21st century audience, well-known film critic Sanjay Pattnaik said people are quite eager to view this first 3-D Odia film on a subject of such significance.
