An 18-year-old Odia girl was raped allegedly by her employer in the Patel Nagar area in New Delhi.According to the police, the victim came to Delhi a year back in search of a job and had been working at the suspect’s house in central Delhi for the past eight months.
The girl came to the police on Monday afternoon and alleged that she has been raped by her employer. She was then taken to the Sucheta Kriplani Hospital, where rape was established in her medical report following which an FIR was registered.
Members of an NGO were also called to counsel the girl, said the police on Tuesday. A police team was sent to arrest her employer, who was not found at home. Efforts were on to nab him, the police said.
