Fifteen women migrant labourers of Gajapati and Rayagada districts have been confined in a sea food processing firm in Andhra Pradesh as their contractor is allegedly not allowing them to return home.

These women have fervently appealed the district administration and Odisha Government to help them in returning back to the State.

Reports said five months back the sea food company contractor had taken the labourers to be engaged in the factory at Budaraidu Cherubu village in West Godavari district of Andhra Prades for a remuneration of Rs 7,000.

But due to the nationwide lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic they wanted to return back home. They had requested the contractor a number of times but he is not paying heed and arranging the documents required for it. Due to which they are facing great difficulty and living under tremendous mental duress.
