The daily Covid-19 positive cases breached the 11,000-mark with 11,177 more people testing positive for the virus in all 30 districts and the State pool in last 24 hours. With this, the total positive tally surged to 11,33,912.
Among the newly-infected were 1,016 children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
In the last 24 hours, 77,120 samples were tested and the test positivity rate (TPR) was 14.49 per cent. The active cases stood at 69,763.
Notably, the State had reported 10,856 cases on Saturday.
Out of the new cases, 6,479 were from quarantine and 4,698 local contacts.
Khordha district reported the maximum 3,424 cases followed by Sundargarh with 2,136, Cuttack 829, Sambalpur 379, Baleswar 342, Balangir 312, Mayurbhanj 276, Subarnapur 238, Jharsuguda 193, Raygada 184, Jajpur 179, Kalahandi 173, Jagatsinghpur 164, Nayagarh 159, Nabarangpur 155, Koraput 152, Puri 142, Bargarh 132, Bargarh 123 Ganjam 108, Nuapada 79, Gajapati and Boudh 71 each, Keonjhar 69, Dhenkanal 65, Malkangiri 47, Kandhamal 45 and Deogarh 24.
Besides, 737 cases were reported from the State pool.
Three more persons succumbed to the disease in the State, pushing the total death toll to 8,481. Ganjam, Nayagarh and Sundargarh districts reported one fatality each.
However, 4,452 more patients recovered, increasing the total recoveries to 10,60,067.
