In a shocking incident, over 100 students of a primary school here were taken ill and hospitalised after eating the midday meal (MDM) served in the school on Wednesday.
Sources said some students of the Deulatangi Model Primary School here complained of vomiting and nausea after consuming the food served in the MDM.
The school authorities rushed the affected students to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Meanwhile, it is alleged that substandard quality of eggs that were served in the MDM is suspected to be reason behind the incident.
Earlier, a number of incidents of inferior quality MDM served in the schools have been reported from various parts of the State.
