Bhubaneswar on Thursday registered 1,120 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the State capital city’s total tally increased to 64,574.Out of the new cases, 928 were local contacts and 192 were quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 20 cases each from Sundarpada, Patrapada and Unit-8, 19 from Tankapani Road, 18 from Rasulgarh, 17 from Saheed Nagar, 16 from Pokhariput, 13 from Unit-6 and 11 from Siripur.Currently, the active cases in the city stood at 12,341.However, 928 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 52,839 in the city. So far, 301 persons have succumbed to the disease in the city.
