Smruti Patnaik took over as president of the State unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha here on Monday. Outgoing president Pravati Parida handed over the charge to Patnaik. All office-bearers of the Mahila Morcha greeted Patnaik.
“Women are not safe in the State. Incidences of women harassment are reported almost every day. Women have been deprived of Government benefits. In this situation, I will give focus on strengthening Mahila Morcha at grassroots level. The entire Mahila Mochar will work to see that all minor girls and women live safely and get all benefits being provided by the Modi Government at the centre,” said Patnaik.Among others, vice-president Anita Shubhadarshini, spokesperson Sonali Sahoo.
