Even as the BJP alleged that the BJD abducted two of its Bargarh Zilla Parishad (ZP) Members, Parbati Bhoi and Sushma Bhue, the two refuted the charge saying they were no more in the BJP as they had quit it and joined the BJD in March 2019. On Sunday, BJP vice-president Ashwini Sarangi alleged that Bhoi and Bhue went missing since December 4 and BJD leaders had a hand in it. Even their husbands lodged a police complaint and met SP on Saturday, said Sarangi.
However, nine Bargarh ZP members held a press conference in Bhubaneswar on Sunday where the refuted the charge of the BJP and said, “We had quit the BJP and joined the BJD on March 28. The BJP is spreading lies; no one has abducted us.”
