After shifting of the old Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital to a new building, general public are deprived of Government-sponsored treatment.
On Tuesday, representatives of Jharsuguda BJD unit under the leadership of senior BJD leader Tapas Rai Choudhury submitted a ten- point charter of demands to Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das through Jharsuguda district Collector Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan.
They said more than half of the population in the Industrial town depend on the old hospital at Mangalbazar, Jharsuguda.
For any health problems, they first prefer this hospital. So, demands by different organisations are mounting to make the hospital fully operational with 24x7 service for the patients. Besides, pressing the demand, on Saturday a rally was taken out by the NSUI, Jharsuguda unit.
