‘Naveen taking credit for Central schemes’

PNS

Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly and BJP’s Bhawanipatna MLA Pradipta Naik on Thursday skipped the inauguration of the Indravati Lift Canal project by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Kalahandi.

Later, he criticised the setting of separate stages for the Chief Minister and other leaders for the mega event and termed it as a sign of the BJD Government’s “feudal policy”. “A separate special stage was erected for the Chief Minister while another stage was constructed for other leaders. Then, why did we undergo Covid-19 tests? Even after being diagnosed Covid negative, we were not allowed to share the stage with the Chief Minister in the mega event. This is a clear sign of feudal system in a democracy.

I condemn it,” Naik said. He further alleged that despite being undertaken with 90 per cent of Central funds, the State Government is claiming sole credit for the projects.
