Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday claimed that Lotus, election symbol of the BJP, would bloom in Ganjam district in the upcoming election as people here have already become fed up with the “failures” of the BJD Government.
Pradhan said this after attending the nomination filing of BJP candidate for Hinjili Assembly constituency, Pitambar Acharya. He reiterated his claims that the BJP would win all the 21 Lok Sabha seats and also form Government in the State.
“People of Hinjili have voted Naveen Patnaik for the last 19 years. But youths of Hinjili and Ganjam are still working in various industries in Surat, Mumbai, Delhi and other cities. People are still facing dearth of drinking water and irrigation facilities. People of Hinjili and Ganjam will certainly choose BJP to form Government both at the Centre and in the State,” he said.
Pradhan wanted that BJD candidate Naveen Patnaik make a reply in the public as to why youths of Ganjam are going outside in search of work.
He said the allegation of the BJD relating to stopping of disbursement of KALIA scheme assistance is completely false. The State Government has not been able to make a list of beneficiaries yet, he said.
