‘Lockdown squad’ to help people combat boredom

PNS

In a bid to brighten the mood of denizens and help them combat the lockdown blues, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has come up with an innovative initiative.

BDA had roped in expert chefs, digital artists and new-age thinkers and assembled them under the name ‘Lockdown Squad’, who would help the residents of the capital city in showcasing their creativity.

The event, comprising live sessions, workshops, entertainment and more, would be held between April 16 and April 30.

It would be webcasted on the Facebook and Instagram page of Bhubaneswar Me: https://www.facebook.com/me.bhubaneswar/  and https://www.instagram.com/me_bhubaneswar/?igshid=cmrcxf88ls4.

BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Choudhary said, “This is an initiative to engage our citizens creatively and at the same time to create awareness about the ongoing crisis. These days, most of the people who are creative and innovative are sitting idle due to the lockdown. Through this platform, they can learn and share their ideas or videos to us, which we can share in our social media platforms.”
