Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to hand over the management of Stayabadi Bakula Ban Vidyalaya to the Lok Sevak Mandal and the “Samaja” newspaper.
Expressing concern over the present dilapidated condition of the Vidyalaya which was founded by Pandit Gopabandhu Das in 1909, Pradhan said the “Samaja” should take over the management of the historic institution as its social responsibility and towards building a developed India of the 21st century.
Pradhan was speaking at the martyrdom day of Punjab Keshari Lala Lajpat Ray in New Delhi. He also unveiled a statue of Punjab Keshari at the Lajpat Bhavan premises.
