Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to provide loan to dairy farmers through the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme in Odisha.
Enclosing a copy of a milk farmer of Khandasahi village under Tirtol block in Jagatsinghpur district for issuing the KCC to OMFED farmers, Pradhan has written to Sitharaman to look into the matter at her personal level.
In a letter, the dairy farmer Dhruba Charan Parida said that despite provision of issuing KCC and sanctioning loan up to Rs 3 lakh to OMFED farmers, no bank is interested to execute the policy. Pradhan has appealed to Sitharaman to direct the concerned authorities for a favourable and sympathetic consideration of his request to benefit the milk farmers in Odisha through the KCC scheme.
