n The Odisha Milita Vidyalaya Pachika Sahayika Sangha on Saturday said the Government’s decision to hand over the midday meal (NDM) management to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) would perpetually create a conflict among teachers, school management committee members and SHGs personnel.
The notification issued by the School and Mass Education Department on November 28 to hand over the MDM charges to the
SHGs would create many problems. “The Government should withdraw the decision forthwith. The Government should regularise the cooks’ service and hand over the MDM charges fully to them in the interest of children,” demanded association State convenor Bishnu Das.
