Even as five years have passed since the Vani Vihar-Acharya Vihar over-bridge was opened, construction of an underpass for movement of VSS Nagar residents to Saheed Nagar side of the city has not been completed yet.
Stating that repeated requests have fallen on deaf ears only, the VSS Nagar Unnayan Parishad has urged the authorities to complete the underpass at the earliest in view of collection of fines for wrong-side driving going on.
In this regard, a team led by Parishad general secretary Dillip Dashsharma met the National Highway Project Director Subrat Nag and held discussions on Monday. Among others, Parishad treasurer Maheshwar Biswal, joint secretary Nimain Charan Das and executive member Dhrendra Nath Das were present.
