Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief Arun Bothra, instead of giving justice to Nayagarh minor Pari, has scripted a fictional story like a Hindi movie and announced it in a conspiracy to stop investigation of the murder case, said BJD State spokesperson Golak Mahapatra here on Tuesday.
Earlier, the main accused Saroj Sethy had been asked by Bothra to take Rs 5 lakh to own up the crime. Every effort was made to portray him as the real accused.
According to Pari’s family, the SIT without conducting investigations has given a clean chit to Babuli Nayak and Minister Arun Sahoo. Now, Bothra has scripted a new story to provide protection to Arun Sahoo, alleged Mohapatra.
BJP MP Bisheswar Tudu said the State Government had formed the SIT to conceal the weaknesses of the Minister (Sahoo).
The SIT, instead of conducting investigation, is working on the direction of the Government. To provide protection to the main accused Babuli, it has arrested Saroj claiming that he is the murderer.
