Jatni Congress MLA Suresh Kumar Routray has alleged that the Acrux Builder has illegally constructed a project named “Acropolis Realcon” at Gothapatana under Bhubaneswar block, but the State Government has remained silent in the matter.
“A six-storied building having as many as 800 flats has been constructed illegally on 40 acres of land belongingto SC and ST people, cashew jungle and forest category and the Peacock Sanctuary,” Rouray said.
He alleged that the builder has shrewdly taken possession of the lands provided SC and ST people by the previous Government. He alleged that former Chandaka DFO, Bhubaneswar BDO and Tehsildar and Additional Tehsildar were involved in it. Even leaders of the ruling political party are involved in the scam.
“Forged documents have been made to legalise the lands. Jungle lands have been wrongly converted into household lands. Stones have been looted from the stone quarry,” he alleged.
He said all flats have been sold out. Some high-rank officers and political leaders have been gifted with flats not to raise voice against the scam. A flat sale fair had been organised in a star hotel where high-rank officers were appeased.
He alleged that the Government has remained silent over the scam.
While former Khordha district Collector and Deputy Collector had stopped construction, the work resumed later under the pressure of leaders and senior officers.
The MLA said he would raise the issue in the coming Assembly session and seek a reply from the Government.
